Interaction design for a AAA console game

FreeStyleGames create some of the games industry’s most popular titles with DJ Hero and Guitar Hero Live under their belt. Ever keen to be innovators, they came to us because they wanted to explore how UX principles can be applied to the games industry.

Over the past two years, we have worked closely with them on a number of projects: we have produced interactive prototypes for user interfaces (UI) much more quickly than could be achieved via a common games development process; we have helped them to test their games with real people in a lab environment; we’ve been a general UX sounding board for their ideas.

In addition to working on the UX for the console game, we have also worked on the UX for related iOS applications (Guitar Hero Live companion app, Guitar Hero Live iPhone and iPad games).
